DETROIT, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Chrysler continues on the road to recovery three years out of bankruptcy.
The Auburn Hills automaker announced a $1.7 billion profit in 2012 Tuesday morning.
Chrysler expects to earn more than $2 billion this year.
The 2012 profit turned out to be nine times higher than the amount Chrysler made in 2011.
Chrysler’s worldwide sales increased by 18 percent last year.
That includes a 21-percent jump in U.S. sales, its largest market.
