DETROIT, Mi. (TV 20 News at Ten) --- State and Wayne County officials are currently recounting write-in candidate votes for Detroit's primary election. The process is taking place after the Board of State Canvassers approved it this afternoon.
The count is being conducted because dozens of voters complained that the write in votes were improperly counted from the start. The board of canvassers agreed to go though with the process to finally get official results for the election but made it very clear its not an election recount.
