DTE Trying to Help Customers Despite Protests

Utility Shut-Offs at Center of Protest. Help

DETROIT, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- DTE Energy held a "Customer Assistance Day" event Friday, designed for those of you who need help paying electric bills to avoid shut-offs.

But while that event took place, dozens of residents gathered at a couple DTE payments centers in Detroit to protest thousands of previous shut-offs.
