COMMERCE TWP., MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- A sign in the window lets patients know the office of Dr. Rajat Daniel.
Federal drug agents raided the office on Union Lake Road Tuesday morning.
Agents also raided a medical office in Clinton Township.
Both are believed to be connected the drug fraud case involving Canton Township pharmacy owner Babubhai Patel.
He's serving a 17-year sentence for leading a scheme that involved more than 20 pharmacies.
Patel must also pay nearly $20 million in restitution.
as part of his sentence, along with the 17-year prison term.
Patel, a pharmacist, has deep ties to the local Indian community and was vice chairman of the Canton Hindu temple.
