DETROIT, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- Seven elected school board members at Detroit Public Schools still have their jobs after a Wayne County judge adjourned a hearing to remove them from office.
Michigan attorney general Bill Schuette filed the case against the board because he claims that by law their last district election was illegal because DPS has less than the one-hundred thousand full time students required to have in order to elect members by district.
The judge says he wants to see what happens with current legislation being discussed in Lansing about the emergency financial manager law before making a decision.
