Hanson Decides to Call It a Career

ALLEN PARK, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Jason Hanson will not return to the Detroit Lions, or any other NFL team in 2013.

Hanson announced his retirement Thursday, ending 21 record-setting seasons with the Lions.

Hanson owns the NFL record for the most games played by one player with one team (327), and is the first player in NFL history to play 300 games with one franchise.

He is also the league's third all-time leading scorer, with 2,150 point.

Hanson is Detroit's leader in games played with 327 and is the franchise’s all-time leader in seasons played with 21.
