DETROIT, Mi. (TV 20 News at Ten) --- A federal judge ruled today to freeze all lawsuits against the city of Detroit for now. Judge Steve Rhodes said its in the city's best interest to halt lawsuits filed in State Court.

However, judge Rhodes also clearly stated that this does not mean Detroit is eligible for bankruptcy, that decision will come down another day. He also reaffirmed that this also does not mean retiree pensions should be cut and is not completely ruling out issues addressed in the lawsuits.
