DETROIT, Mi. (TV 20 News at Ten) --- The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit is getting ready to celebrate Nelson Mandela's birthday. The iconic leader turns ninety-five years old this Thursday and celebration plans are under way.
Twenty-five years ago the museum also held a big event for his 70th birthday that included a large card signing meant to be sent to South Africa. But it was never sent and now the card is part of the museums archives.
My TV 20's Jorge Avellan tells us the significance this card now has to the museum and how you can celebrate Mandela's birthday.
