WASHINGTON, D.C. (My TV20 News at 10) --- The U.S. Supreme Court is adding Michigan’s ban on affirmative action in college admissions.
The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted last November to invalidate the ban voters approved in 2006.
The Michigan case will be argued before the nation’s highest court in the fall.
Justices are already considering a challenge to the University of Texas program that takes account of race, among many factors, to fill remaining spots in its freshman classes.
