DETROIT, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- That offensive sign posted at Detroit's old Packard Plant is gone.
Someone spelled out words Tuesday that were part of a metal gate at the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp Tuesday.
The German phrase meaning “Work makes free” greeted Jews and other prisoners the Germans sent to Auschwitz and several other camps during World War II.
Nearly 1.5 million people died at Auschwitz.
It's still not known who posted the phrase.
