DETROIT, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- Mayor Dave Bing announced this morning that thanks to an eight million dollar donation from local business owners, Detroit will get one hundred new police cars and 23 new EMS ambulances.
The announcement comes on the same day that Detroit's new emergency financial manager takes control of the city's finances.
The "EFM" will not have control over the new vehicles because they are being leased by businesses such as Penske and Chrysler for the city.
