DETROIT, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- One of the two Detroit Police officers wounded in Tuesday night's shootout is out of the hospital.

The unidentified sergeant received the wounds as the two tried to arrest a murder suspect.

It happened shortly after the two stopped a car on Linwood Avenue at Hooker Street.

The suspect opened fire on the officers.

The other unidentified officer remains in critical condition at Henry Ford Hospital.

The officers shot and killed the suspect.

Police are questioning two other people in the car.

The suspect had been wanted in connection with a deadly March 28 shooting on 25th Street.

The two officers are part of a task force made up of federal, state and local law enforcement officers and prosecutors.

It's goal is to reduce gun violence, violent street gangs, robberies and carjackings.
