DETROIT, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- Parks and recreation centers in Detroit will remain open. Mayor Dave Bing made the announcement this morning after numerous donors pledged fourteen million dollars to make it happen.
The announcement is good news after the mayor had already said that due to budget cuts, fifty parks and some recreation centers would have to close.
My TV 20's Jorge Avellan spoke with two teenage brothers who depend on the recreation centers and has their story.
