GROSSE POINTE FARMS, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Rick Santorum's "on-again, off-gain" speech at Grosse Pointe South High School is back on, again.
Superintendent Thomas Harwood announced Wednesday afternoon the April 24 speech will take place after he and others reached a compromise.
Harwood's decision came hours after he canceled the event after being denied an advance copy of Santorum's speech, and learned the former senator never spoke before high school students.
Harwood says parents will be sent an in-school permission form if they want their student to hear the former Pennsylvania senator and Republican presidential candidate.
The student group Young Americans for Freedom raised $18,000 to pay Santorum to speak at the school.
