Student "Count Day" Critical to School Districts

DETROIT, Mi. (TV 20 News at Ten) --- Tomorrow is student count day in Michigan.

And with recent bad weather days and constant power outages at Detroit Public Schools, student attendance is extremely important. Schools can get just over seven thousand dollar per pupil in State funding.

Some principals say those funds can go a long way when the district is in the process of making improvements.
