(CPSC news release) The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday announced that AmerTac has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 227,000 LED night lights due to potential fire and burn hazards to consumers.
According to the CPSC news release, an electrical short in the circuit can cause the night light to overheat and smolder or melt. AmerTac has received 25 reports of the night lights smoking, burning, melting or charring. No injuries have been reported.
