Woman Sentenced to 85 Years in Prison for Dehydration Death of 10-Year-Old Stepson

A long prison sentence for a Texas woman.

According to a report from the Dallas Morning News, a Texas woman who was convicted last week in the 2011 dehydration death of her 10-year-old stepson was sentenced Tuesday to 85 years in prison. The woman could be eligible for parole in 15 years, according to the Dallas Morning News report.
