Traveling to and from downtown Detroit is about to be easier for DOT riders. The $22.5 million Rosa Parks transit center is scheduled to open next Tuesday for the general public.
The nearly 20,000 sq ft facility will be the first international transit station in Michigan. The venue will feature a climate controleld waiting area and 24hr video surveillance.

The center will service 21 routes in and out of downtown Detroit and will also service Smart and Transit Windsor.
