Teen Moms Demand Vaccine

Today, dozens of teen moms that attend Detroit Public schools received the H1NI vaccine. Young moms, along with their babies were vaccinated at “Boykin Continuing Education Center” and “Ferguson Academy” this afternoon.

The city’s Health Department held the H1N1 clinics as part of their target outreach program that includes babies and teenagers.

"It was important for my baby because I don’t want her to get sick and I don’t want her to be in the hospital a lot and I don’t want to risk losing her or her losing me."

The H1N1 vaccine will be offer to other DPS students tomorrow and next Monday.
