Election Protection Hotline11/3/2009
To make sure voters rights were not violated during today’s election, Detroit’s NAACP branch offered an “Election Protection Hotline”. Members of the NAACP took calls from voters who had concerns at the polls. Such as not having identification to receive a ballot or there name not appearing on the voter registration list, among others. Volunteers answered dozens of calls from six AM to eight PM.
