Your help is needed tonight to help get a killer off the streets. Your information could earn you $1,000. Relatives of Skip Layne, Jr.c gathered this afternoon at the Detroit Crime Stoppers Office. The 23-year-old was shot to death in August 2005 while he stood outside
the home of his girlfriend's mother. It happened shortly after he gave someone a cigarette. Layne's mother tell us the morning's are the toughest for her.

"I actually have to lie there and think, was that a dream? Have to relive
that and his funeral every day."

We're told the person who asked for the cigarette is a black male. It's not clear if he shot Layne.
