Wayne State University Police have an extra device in their cars tonight. It's designed to make it easier to move sick or injured people during an emergency.

There are now 18 "Med Sleds" in use on campus. The sleds are 10 lbs each and are used to drag patients out of harm's way. They can also be used to move patients down stairs. All university police have completed training involving use of the Med Sled.
