New Newspaper Rolls Off the Presses Monday

DETROIT (MyTV 20) - There has been a lot of talk lately regarding the future of newspapers. There's a belief most have outlived their usefulness in this hi-tech age of the internet. But local news stands will get a little more crowded Monday, with the addition of The Detroit Daily Press.
The Daily Press will start off with 20 pages. That will increase as more ads are sold. Publishers point out their paper offers something the two major ones don't, half the price, and home delivery seven days a week.
Owners believe their paper can be profitable. It has 70 full time employees, roughly half of them in news. They're making news, by reporting the news for the area's newest newspaper.
