Holiday Donations Mean Tax Time Savings

DETROIT (MyTV 20) - 'Tis the season for donations, as people are also preparing for Uncle Sam.
This time of year…the Salvation Army has people lining up to ready themselves for tax season. Some taxpayers know that they're allowed to deduct the charitable donations they make throughout the year.
Designer handbags…movie memorabilia and even wedding dresses all made their way through the donation door just recently. The Salvation Army says they accept anything for a donation except computer monitors and you have until the close of business Thursday to get those donations in.
