DETROIT, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Detroit’s largest industrial investment in roughly two decades is up and running.
Hundreds turned out for Wednesday’s official opening of the new Detroit Manufacturing Systems.
It’s a joint venture between the Rush Group and French supplier Faurecia SA.
Owner Andra Rush predicts 537 people will work at the on the city’s west side within a year.
They will build high-tech interior components for Ford products.
Rush hopes the new plant at the Gateway Industrial Center will eventually have 1,500 people working there.
