Detroit Auxiliary Bishop Moses B. Anderson has died

DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) --- Detroit Auxiliary Bishop Moses B. Anderson, SSE, has died.

Bishop Moses B. Anderson, a retired auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Detroit, died January 1st of cardiac arrest. He was 84 and had been living in Livonia.

Bishop Anderson was born in Selma, Ala., on Sept. 8, 1928, and ordained a priest for the Society of St. Edmund on May 30, 1958.

Before coming to Detroit, he had been a pastor in North Carolina and a teacher and college administrator in Alabama. He was named a bishop and appointed to Detroit by Pope John Paul II.
