Snyder picks Kevyn Orr

Detroit Getting Emergency Financial Manager

DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) --- Washington-based bankruptcy lawyer Kevyn Orr has been named Emergency Financial Manger for the city of Detroit.

Governor Rick Snyder introduced Orr this afternoon. Orr is a partner in the Washington law firm of Jones Day.

It'll be Orr's task to right Detroit's financial ship - which includes nearly $15-billion in long term debt.
