Detroit Has Its New Top Cop

DETROIT, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Detroit's new police chief is excited.

James Craig is coming home as he becomes the fifth person to lead the police department over the last five years.

Mayor Dave Bing and Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr introduced Craig Wednesday morning.

Craig told reporters he's committed to reducing violence in the city.

Craig is leaving Cincinnati where he served in the same role.

Craig starts his new job full-time July 1st.
