Fallen Detroit Police Officer Remembered

October 28, 2013

DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) --- Patrick Hill was being remembered today.

The 37-year-old Detroit police officer died from wounds he suffered during a shootout April 2nd with a homicide suspect.

Family and friends were at Greater Grace Temple on W. Seven Mile this morning for a funeral service and to pay respect to the fallen officer.

Hill was part of a multi-agency police task force going after suspect Matthew R. Joseph. An investigation into the shooting determined that Hill was wounded by pellets from another officer's shotgun fired as Joseph tried to drive away.

Joseph was shot and killed.
