DEARBORN, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Ford employees get their fixrst look at the new 2013 Fusion sedan
Ford unveiled the new hybrid Tuesday at the automaker's world headquarters in Dearborn, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, and San Francisco.
Ford hopes to gain share in the crowded mid-size sedan market that includes the Honda Accord, Chevy Malibu and Nissan Altima.
Ford claims its latest hybrid version averages 47 mpg in the city and on the highway.
Production of the new Fusion will take place at Ford's Flat Rock Plant.
The automaker is investing $500 million in the project, that will create 1,200 jobs.
There's no word yet when production will start.
