GM Spends More Money on Engine Plants

April 4, 2013

DETROIT, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- General Motors is investing more money in its plants, including its Romulus Engine Operations.

It’s getting $5 million of the latest $46 million that GM will spend improving its V6 Engine.

However, the Flint Engine Plant is the big winner in Thursday’s announcement.

It’s getting $215 million to build a new small Ecotec gasoline engine.

The money is among the nearly $332 million GM will invest in four manufacturing sites in three states.

Flint is not the only Michigan plant getting money.

Bay City Powertrain will receive nearly $32 million.

The other engines plants sharing the latest investment are in Toledo, and Bedford, Indiana.
