Historic Brewster-Douglass to Disappear

DETROIT, Mi. (My TV 20 News at Ten) --- It was once the home of Motown stars such as Diana Ross and the Supremes, but soon it will be demolished.

Mayor Dave Bing announced today the Frederick Douglass Homes Complex, formally known as the "Brewster-Douglass" site will come down.

No word yet on what the land will be used for.

But some residents are sad to see the historic building go.

Our Jorge Avellan spoke with a man who spent decades at the Brewster-Douglass complex and will have his story tonight on My TV 20 News at Ten.
