Lifetime Prison Sentence for Royal Oak Murderer

February 15, 2013

PONTIAC, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Alan Wood will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The 49-year-old received the mandatory life without parole today in Oakland County Circuit Court. That's for his role in the brutal November 2011 murder of Nancy Dailey, or Royal Oak.

Wood's girlfriend, Tonia Watson, will serve at least 23 years before she is eligible for parole.

Watson received the sentence as part of a deal in which she testified against Wood. Prosecutors claimed the homeless couple killed Dailey because the two needed money to buy drugs.
