Livonia Bakery Remains in Business

LIVONIA, MI (My TV20 News at 10) --- Awrey's Bakery will continue making its famous treats.

The 103-year-old company will remain in business, just under a new name.

Minnie Marie Bakers bought Awrey's Tuesday night.

The goal of the Midland-Bay City company is to re-hire as many of the company's laid off workers.

Awrey's closed its doors February 15.

Plans also include introducing several new products this year, including a several gluten-free items.
