WESTLAND, Mich. (My TV20 News at 10) --- A Westland man has been sentenced in the death of his teenaged ex-girlfriend.
20-year old Justin Yoshikawa was sentenced to serve 35 to 65 years in prison for strangling 16-year old Carlee Morse and disposing of her body in August of 2010.
Yoshikawa pled guilty to 2nd degree murder to avoid mandatory life in prison under Michigan's 1st degree murder sentencing law.
Yoshikawa's friend Nicholas Cottrell admitted to police that they lured Morse into their car and choked her with a dog leash…her body still has not been found.
