DETROIT (My TV20 News at 10) --- A federal judge did not issue a ruling today on the constitutionality of Michigan's Ban on Gay Marriage.

U.S. District Court Judge Bernard Friedman decided instead to schedule a trial on the issue, which will likely take place early next year. During the summer, Friedman denied a state motion to throw out a lawsuit by a lesbian couple who is challenging Michigan's gay marriage ban.
