DETROIT, Mi. (TV 20 News at Ten) -- Anti-gay legislation in Uganda may increase the number if refugees in Detroit. The government in Uganda is considering passing a law that would jail anyone who is homosexual or supports that lifestyle. Some of those who may be affected have already sought refugee at the Freedom House in Detroit.
The safe house is the only one if it's kind in the country that offers free services to those seeking political asylum. Last year alone it helped people from twenty six different countries.
