DETROIT, Mi. (My TV20 News at5 10) --- Plans are in the works to make it faster to travel between Willow Run and Detroit Metro Airports.)
Interstate Traveler Company wants to build a magnetically levitated, high-speed rail system 30 feet above the ground. Super hydrogen would power the $919 million system.
The Whitmore Lake-based company would likely purchase the majority of GM's old Powertrain plant at Willow Run to house its operations.
The rail system is expected to create 2,300 direct jobs in hospitality and concierge services. Those people would work the rail cars.
Interstate Traveler is also working on a $700 million system that would connect Detroit with Ann Arbor.
