Pink Panther 22/4/2009
Some favorite comedians are back on the big screen. Greg Russell says you might be tickled pink with tonight's Screen Scene. Opening this weekend is THE PINK PANTHER2. Steve Martin is back as the less-than-smooth Inspector Clouseau. This time around, he matches wits with Chief Inspector Dreyfus, played by fellow comedic genius John Cleese. Now, with all this comedy genius in the film there should be no problem with it being funny, right?...... Steve Martin: With the comedy you never know until you put it up in front of an audience. You shoot it .. Its a year later you have no idea if its going to work…then you get the responsee and its great when its good. THE PINK PANTHER 2 is rated PG. And coming out next Tuesday on DVD is the comedy Soul Men, which stars Samuel L.Jackson and the late Bernie Mac as two 70s soul singers on the comeback trail. this was Bernie Mac's last film, which makes it very special for Sam. Greg: What does that now mean for you as far being involved with this project? Samuel L. Jackson: It's sort of a moving and wonderful tribute to the man… the comedian and the entertainer that we knew and that if you had to pick a last film that, well, people could say that that was his last film … this encompasses all the things that made uus love him as an artist… This DVD is loaded with extras. For Screen Scene… I'm Greg Russell. Most PopularMore Good Stuff |
