The Soloist4/22/2009Sounds like a great weekend for outdoor activities. But you may want to come inside for a great movie. Greg Russell has more in tonight's Screen Scene. Hollywood heavyweights Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. team up in the film The Soloist, which opens this Friday. Jamie Foxx stars as Nathaniel Ayers, a homeless man with remarkable musical talent, and Robert Downey Jr. plays a writer who realizes the man's gift and wants to help him. One of the most fascinating things about this story is that it is fact and not fiction… Greg: You realize the fact that there are people like that who have got so much talent ….. Jamie Foxx: And still have hope. Thats what got me about meeting the homeless, meeting Nathaniel. How do you live in this circumstance and still smile? How do you live in this circumstance and still have respect and decency about your self. So, that's a lesson to teach us, especially with what we are going through now. Greg. A person could probably sit down a typewriter or a computer and try to write something, you know, like this and never come close. Robert Downey, Jr.: Today… getting the feedback from thee likes of you.. I sense that all is right just for a moment… ah… in the The Soloist is rated PG-13. For Screen Scene… I'm Greg Ruussell.
