Dean has enjoyed a long career in television sports, covering five Super Bowls, two World Series, and hundreds of other major events as well as the always busy day to day aspect of sports.

The Chicago, Illinois native has a radio-television degree from Southern Illinois University, where he first began his broadcasting career.

Dean has also done extensive play by play work in football, basketball, baseball, and hockey on radio and television, and logged many years as a radio sports talk show host.

Dean is a sports fan even when not working, and enjoys playing all sports, especially basketball and softball, as well as travel, music, and movies.

He and his wife Becky have two grown children.

Dean enjoys reporting sports to the Detroit community, a community which has long backed its teams fervently --- whether they win or lose.
