LANSING, Mi. (My TV20 News at 10) --- The state of Michigan is coming to Detroit's rescue or at least will be of big help in its financial recovery.

Governor Rick Snyder announced this afternoon that he is targeting state funds for pension funds and the Detroit Institute of Art.

Without state intervention, union pension funds stand to lose the most in Detroit's bankruptcy, and the DIA faces loss of its storied collections to the auction block.
