Brothers & Sisters is like that awkward family reunion, where everyone is
airing their dirty secrets at the dinner table. The thing is, with the Walkers,
they're dropping these bombshells at every meal. The Walkers appear to be
the perfect all-American family, but it's up to matriarch Nora Walker
(Sally Field) to hold everyone together as they cross paths with divorce,
infidelity, addiction, war, politics, prejudice and death.
There's Kitty Walker (Calista Flockhart) who's switched career paths, cheated
on her previous fiancé and has adopted a child with her new hubby, hunky
politician Robert McCallister (Rob Lowe). Who knows what other family
members might creep up--there seems to be an endless supply of affairs
and illegitimate offspring being paraded out in the wine-soaked, soapy
world of the Walkers.
But don't dismiss Brothers & Sisters as a family-crisis-of-the-week program.
For all of the dysfunctional drama, the Walkers know that the family that
drinks together, stays together. While we’d give anything to attend one of
their raucous dinner parties, we all know we’d be better off posting our deep
dark secrets on Facebook than sharing them with Nora and company.
