Matt Millen also signing cornerback Leigh Bodden to a 4 yr contract extension, the deal adds 27 million dollars to his contract that now runs through 2013. The Lions aquired Bodden from Cleveland back in February in the Shaun Rodgers deal.
Brett Favre will report to Packers camp this weekend. Favre was expected to ask the commissioner to be re-instated today.
Packers camp begins Sunday with players reporting tomorrow night so expect a circus to ensue. The move could speed up a trade both Tampa Bay and the Jets are reportedly interested in Favre who has been told he will be number two on the Packers depth chart behind Aaron Rodgers.

Nancy Lieberman made her debut with the Shock late last night in Houston. The 50 yr old Hall of Famer was a little bit rusty at first. She saw 9 minutes of action recording 2 assists and 2 turnovers.
The Shock lose the game to Houston 79-61. Lieberman and the Shock return home to play San Antonio Sunday night. Tip off set for 6 o'clock.

The Sacramento Bee is reporting the Pistons are interested in aquiring Ron Artest. Yes the same Ron Artest that went looking for a fight in the crowd at the Palace a few years back. Two seperate sources are backing the story, Joe Dumars and the Pistons of course are not commenting.

A single - a baseball brawl turned criminal last night in Dayton. Peoria Chiefs pitcher Julio Castillo wins the stupidity award for the year, hurling a baseball full speed into the stands, he was supposedly aiming for the dugout. The ball hit a fan sending them to the hospital. No word on the fans condition. Castillo was arrested following the fight, charged with felony assault.
