Final Four Scams

January 20, 2011

The Final Four of the NCAA Basketball Tournament takes place in Detroit. And the last thing a fan wants is to get ripped off buying tickets.

Michigan remains alive in the hunt to make it to Ford Field. Most fans already have their tickets. Others are looking to buy their tickets online. But, members of the Better Business Bureau warn you this is also a popular time for thieves.

Tim Burns/Better Business Bureau
"The most common scams we see are people receive counterfeit tickets, they don't receive tickets at all, or tickets they do receive are for locations they did not receive at all."

You also want to avoid buying tickets from most online sites like e-bay. Only use sites that are endorsed by the Better Business Bureau. You can learn more by logging onto tv20-Detroit-dot-com.
