Reports are surfacing that the Pontiac Silverdome will be placed on the auction block. Attempts to sell the 80 thousand seat structure have been unsuccessful since the lions left seven years ago. The dome...built in 1975...hosted many big names in its heyday including Pope John Paul the second and Elvis Presley. Records show that maintenance of the structure costs the city of Pontiac nearly two million dollars per year.
