Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera is apologizing to fans and teammates
tonight for a weekend fight with his wife.

Mrs. Cabrera & Dispatch
"Has he hit you? Yes. Where is he now? Right here."

Birmingham Police responded to a disturbance at Cabrera's home early
Saturday Morning. It took place after the slugger went out with friends from the Chicago White Sox following Friday Night's loss. Neither Cabrera nor his wife was arrested.

CHIEF RICHARD PATTERSON
"In this case where we had both contributing to the assault, we determined it was in the best interest he leave the home, he agreed to leave home, she did not want to press charges, and he did not want to press charges against her."

Police tell us Cabrera's blood alcohol was more than three times the
legal limit. Tigers General Manager Dave Dombrowski picked up his player at the police station. There's no word from the Tigers and what action they will take against Cabrera.
