Detroit Native, Former Red Wing Mark Howe Picked To Hockey Hall Of Fame

Mark Howe and three other players were added to th Hockey Hall of Game Tuesday

Howe, the son of former Red Wing great and Hockey Hall of Famer Gordie Howe, was born in Detroit and played youth hockey here before beginng a 22 year major league hockey career.

Mark Howe logged over 12 hundred points in the World Hockey Association and National Hockey League, and played the final three years of his career with the Red Wings.

He was joined in entering the Hall of Fame by goalie Ed Belfour amd centers Doug Gilmour and Joe Nieuwendyk
