Michigan Takes Big Ten Basketball Opener

Tim Hardaway, Jr. tallied 26 points and Trey Burke backed him with 13 more as Michigan won its Big Ten men's basketball opener over Penn State 71-53 Thursday night.

It was the first time since john Beilein became coach that the Wolverines were winners in their conference opener.

Michigan, ranked 18th, extended its winning streak to six games
