NBA Players Locked-Out

June 30, 2011

NEW YORK, NY (My TV20 News at 10) --- Next season's NBA games may be in jeopardy after talks broke down today between owners and the player's union on a new collective bargaining agreement.

In 1989, there were only fifty games played because of a lock-out.

NBC Commissioner David Stern says he hopes the owners and players union will resolve their issues without jeopardizing next season.

A players union rep said was unavoidable since the union and owners were too far apart to reach a settlement by tonight's midnight deadline.
